Shoot Day!

On wednesday 13th we did our shoot. 11am-5pm in the small studio in the media factory. Stephanie and Nikita went up to the room to set up the lightingm and me and Sophie waited for the model outside. When we went to the room, me and Sophie layed out all the outfits along the side in order we wanted to shoot them. As we couldn't get a make-up artist, me and Sophie decided we would attempt the hair and make-up ourselves; which i think was very successful concidering!

We had a few minor problems at the beginning, Nikita and stephanie couldn't get the lighting to work, and get it to the same techniques with the snod's and over covers we used for the test shoots. After the while the problem was sorted, one of the guys Chris (photography student) came along to help. The girls set up and everything went quite well from this point. The first images the girls took of the model were really good, and me and Sophie were really impressed how everything had come together, the styling really worked and fitted the model perfectly.

I feel the day went really well, and it was very successful. I think we came away loving the images. The model was also VERY good, she knew exactly what looked good on her, which always helps, and she didnt need alot of direction. I explained the concept and the kinds of poses we needed, i showed her some off the blogs and she understood striaght away.  I feel this shoot was alot more successful than our first project. We had worked alot better as a group and everything is putting forward ideas and their own twists on it. Once the images have been edited and we have picked the final 8 for the editorial i think the concept will really come together.

We have decided to try out different photoshop idea, but keep away from graphics, we want the model to look quite flawless, and keep the intense lighting the girls managed to create. We are going to have a title page on our first images, and credits. But keep them quite high-end fashion something you would see in Vogue or Harpers Bazaar.
