Final 8 images. (unedited)

We decided as a group we would pick the images this time. The easiest way to do it, was to email over the image numbers we all liked and then we could narrow it down from there and discuss the good points and bad points of the images.

After the shoot, i think we thought we had come away with alot of images to choose from, but looking back through them our model is often pulling a weird face or her face is slightly open which didn't look right. I think the photography girls were a bit disappointed with themselves because of the lighting, but we managed to get there in the end, and we got over 600 images from the shoot day to work with. I am really happy with the styling, i think we tried to show the theme through the clothes and props as much as possible.

As we started to edit down the images, we were all picking different images, i dont feel the first image is strong enough to become a DPS, therefore i think we should keep all 8 outfits to make the 8 page editorial. I sent over all the images i thought looked the strongest and would work best as an editorial and i think the others agreed. Which was good, i suggested cropping some fo the images as i had done so myself and felt the framing then made them alot stronger and gave the editorial more of a flow. The biggest problem we have as a group is the title. We want something, small and catchy that is straight to the point.

These are final images we have picked and i am really happy with them. The poses and framing once cropped go really well together and flow alot better. I think the others agreed with this?

Image 2
This image will be cropped tighter, so when the pictures are printed A3 the model is the main focus and there isn't too much space around her on the page.

Image 3
Again i suggested cropping around her a little to bring her forward and when printed A3 there isn't alot of white around her.

Image 4
This image everyone stuggled with, we found it hard to pick a good image from this outfit. I sent over some cropped versions and i think cropped this tight, so not much leg or shadow is shown works alot better for our sequence.

Image 7
I sent over this image cropped compared to the orignal and everyone agreed it worked loads better when you couldn't see so much of her arms and pose. This outfit was meant to be focused on the blazer and necklace.

Image 8
I feel outfit 8 is our strongest image. The lighting contrast, the pose of the model, the framing and expression/feel of the image works the better. It gives off the strongest intense feeling and thats exactly what we want as its our last image. I feel overall we have a picked the most successful images from each outfit from the shoot, and once edited i think it will come together even more.
